Diplodocus in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Diplodocus Fossil Information from Blathers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

When you donate a Diplodocus fossil part to the Museum, Blathers tells you, "Good old Diplodocus, what would we do without you? This stout fellow embodied all the best in dinosaurs. Those sturdy legs, that magnificent tail, and, above all, that extraordinary neck! Did you know that its center of gravity was such that sitting up on its hind legs was probably easy? What's more, paired with its long neck, this ability greatly increased its reach for eating plants! Best of all, Diplodocus probably grew its entire life, having no "adult size". The Diplodocus IRL

The Diplodocus were massive, long-necked quadrupeds that fed on trees, ferns, and bushes. From head to tail they measured 82 feet in length and were up to 16 metric tons. Because its front legs were shorter than its rear legs, it is believed that these creatures had a mostly horizontal posture. Since there have been countless skeletal remains discovered, the diplodocus is undoubtedly one of the most comprehensively studied dinosaurs.
