The Ankylosaurus IRL

Ankylosaurus were herbivorous and about 30 feet long. Their bodies were covered in armor called osteoderms which were bony plates protruding from their skin similar to modern-day crocodiles and armadillos. This made it difficult for predators to successfully attack since they would have to turn the ankylosaurus over to reach its skin underneath. They became extinct 65 million years ago.
