Once you have had Blathers assess the fossils, you can donate your assessed fossils to the museum to complete your or use duplicate fossils to decorate, send as gifts to another player or villager, or sell them at Re-Tail to get some extra bells.

The Stegosaurus IRL

Stegosaurus lived during the late Jurassic Period and is one of the most recognizable dinosaurs to date. Their name comes from the Greek words ‘stego’ (roof) and ‘sauros’ (lizard). With a dog size brain, these creatures were about 30 feet long, 14 feet tall and could weigh up to 5 tons. Stegosaurus are most commonly known for the rows of platelike bones that ran down its spine.
